Encryption

Eurybia uses an industry-standard AES encryption of the well known and well tested Stanford Javascript Crypto Library (SJCL). SJCL is a project by the Stanford Computer Security Lab to build a secure, powerful, fast, small, easy-to-use, cross-browser library for cryptography in Javascript.

For hasing, we use the SHA256 algorithm from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). SHA stands for Secure Hash Algorithm and is still considered to be very safe for hashing.

All plain data is transferred encrypted with the local pasword. The password is never send to the server, it remains in the browsers memory until the user logs out or the window is closed. We do not use any cookies or other local storage.

Even if someone would be able to download our complete database, he would not see any raw (unencrypted) data nor any passwords. Not even a hash of a password.

Eurybia FULLY respects your privacy. Eurybia stores your username as a hash and your data AES encryped. We do not store anything else. SIMPLE. We do not have your email address. So we cannot contact you, even if we wanted.
